Relationship, Parenting and Individual Programs
Relationships are essential to daily life. Yet, relationships, whether with a spouse, child, parent, ex-partner or even a work colleague, can be complicated and, at times, challenging.
They take time, thought and effort to develop, nurture and sustain. At Relationship Matters, we hope to support your efforts by offering a range of programs to help strengthen the relationships that matter to you most.
Relationship Matters’ Individual, Group & Couple Programs
Our relationship program topics and themes include:
- Preparing for marriage or other committed relationships

- Parenting, step-parenting and grand parenting – children and adolescents
- Co-parenting after separation

Our relationship programs are designed to help you connect with others, enhance your existing relationships and develop your own inner confidence. Think of our relationship programs as a way of building your emotional intelligence and acquiring a ‘toolkit’ of new skills.
About Facilitators and Educators
Relationship Matters’ programs are delivered by experienced, tertiary qualified, specialist educators in a variety of formats. You can attend a program as an individual, a couple or as part of a group workshop. You can also make a private, confidential appointment. Some of Relationship Matters’ programs are also delivered online for couples living in remote, rural and regional areas.
Accessing Services Remotely
Relationship Education Programs and Counselling will be offered through videolink and phone as an optional delivery method in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
We will provide one on one and group programs using an online tool – Zoom. We can deliver programs and individual counselling virtually via this platform. Our group programs will have a maximum of 6 participants. We will provide instructions on how to access our services online prior to the sessions. You can use your mobile phone, laptop or a desktop computer.

The Bringing Baby Home Program is designed to provide new or expectant parents facing the myriad of changes and new experiences associated with bringing their first baby home with tools, knowledge and skills.
What’s different in step-families? Living in a step-family brings both challenges and highlights. This program provides an opportunity to explore the unique relationships between couples, children, ex-partners and extended family.

Relationship Matters has been funded to deliver a unique parenting course for fathers. This free 9-week group program designed specifically for dads of babies to young teenagers.
The aim of this course is to build confidence and improve workplace relationships by discovering how to be assertive in the workplace in a positive and productive manner.

This program looks at the impact of stress and how we can minimise the negative impact on our health and well being.
This one day workshop provides Managers and HR Staff with the necessary skills and practice so that they are able to facilitate positive outcomes amongst their staff or other parties who might be in conflict.
