The Men’s Behaviour Change Program supports men who have used, or are at risk of using, violence, coercion, or controlling behaviour towards their partners and/or children. It provides practical tools and guidance to challenge harmful thinking patterns, take responsibility for choices, and develop non-violent, respectful ways of relating to others.

Who is this for?

This program is for men who:

  • Are struggling with anger or frustration in their relationships.
  • Have hurt, or fear they may hurt, their family emotionally or physically.
  • Bottle things up until they escalate.
  • Feel anxious, confused, or that they are losing self-control.
  • Are concerned about their behaviour toward their partner or children.

The program offers an opportunity to build healthier relationships, learn non-abusive behaviours, and develop a caring respect for yourself and others.

What can I expect?

Before the program starts, you’ll have two 90 minute phone calls with a practitioner to assess your readiness and suitability for the program.

This program is delivered through a mix of one-on-one and group sessions.

  • One-on-one sessions are offered before and after the group program. These sessions prepare you for attending the group and support you with practical ways to continue building healthier relationships.
  • The group sessions are led by qualified and experienced facilitators in a non-judgmental space. Groups are designed to allow you to participate and engage actively in discussion. Groups are generally held in the evening and delivered face-to-face in our CBD or Wyndham offices. We also deliver an online group but there is limited availability. Eligibility for online groups is assessed by our practitioners during intake.
