Leadership Team

Maya came to Australia in 1995 as a refugee from war-torn Bosnia. She worked in the family violence and multicultural sector for eight years as CEO of inTouch, Multicultural Centre against Family Violence. As a senior adviser at Family Safety Victoria, Maya led the development of Everybody Matters: Inclusion and Equity Statement that underpins the Victorian Government’s vision for a more inclusive family violence system. Prior to joining Relationship Matters, she was Executive Director at Court Network overseeing more than 500 volunteers and staff who provide support to more than 200,000 vulnerable court users in Victoria and Queensland.

Maya has MBA and accounting qualifications. She has a proven track record of delivering innovative service models and strategic partnerships and has been tireless in her advocacy to improve access to services for marginalised and diverse cohorts.

Maya was a winner of 2019 Impact 25 award and in 2020 she was inducted into the Victorian Honour Roll of Women in recognition of her advocacy efforts for victims of family violence.

Karen Corboy is the Executive Director – Corporate Services at Relationship Matters and is responsible for the operating business infrastructure.

Karen has extensive experience in financial, corporate governance, human resources, information technology, risk, compliance and administration. Karen has been involved in the start-up of several businesses and has instituted quality assurance programs and effective contract negotiations and monitoring for large infrastructure projects across the health and community services sector.

Wendi is a dynamic and strategic leader with over 25 years of executive experience across public health, government, and social services. She has led diverse clinical portfolios, including medical, counselling and allied health, as well as aged care, disability, family violence, and drug and alcohol services.

Known for her collaborative and agile leadership, Wendi has driven transformational change in complex systems, including supporting the establishment of Victoria’s first Medically Supervised Injecting Room at North Richmond Community Health. Her expertise in strategic planning, quality improvement, and risk management has helped organisations navigate the evolving not-for-profit landscape.

Passionate about equity and access for marginalised communities, Wendi is inspired by stories of resilience and adversity from the clients and staff she’s been privileged to work with.

Wendi holds a Bachelor of Social and Environmental Policy and a Master of Knowledge Management.

Tanya De Mel has worked as a social worker within the sector for over 20 years. She has extensive experience in leadership and service delivery across several fields including Children and Young People, CALD and Settlement Services.

Tanya holds a Bachelor of Social Work and postgraduate qualifications in Family Therapy. These equip her with a strong clinical foundation and a deep understanding of complex individual, relational and family dynamics. Her leadership is defined by a commitment to equity, inclusion, and trauma-informed practice, and she has led multidisciplinary teams to deliver impactful, client-centred programs and services.

Vicki is a communications and business development specialist with experience in the not-for-profit sector. Her expertise in business development and communication skills enable her to build strong relationships with strategic partners and engage in meaningful ways. She has extensive experience in stakeholder relations managing complex environments and has had the privilege of working with extraordinary leaders in health and medical research, family violence, higher education, and for-purpose sectors.

Vicki has a Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Social Work, Graduate Diploma of Public Relations and a Certificate IV in Workplace Assessment and Training.

Jill Lane has extensive experience across the health and community services sector. She has been a support practitioner, a manager of teams, programs, services and quality management systems. Jill, through her consultancy, accreditation and other work, has contributed to programmatic, organisational and sector development. Jill’s focus has always been on delivering services in ways that people seek and ensuring that those services are high-quality and safe.

Jill holds qualifications in Organisation Dynamics, Government Investigations, Quality Auditing, Human Resources, Child Care and Youth Work.

Rashmi is a chartered accountant with 20 years post qualification experience in Financial and Management Accounting both locally and internationally. Rashmi has extensive experience in the private, not for profit and government sectors across the Information Technology, Health Promotion, Energy, Recruitment, Finance and Forestry industries.

Marney Bowden is a Nationally Accredited Mediator and Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner.

Marney commenced her career as a Conciliator at the Ombudsman’s Office before moving into family law, and has been working in the mediation space for over 13 years. Working in both the private and public sectors, Marney enjoys applying her dispute resolution skills in different settings to improve communication, restore relationships, and coach parties with the skills to effectively manage and resolve their own conflict. Marney is the Manager, Dispute Resolution at Relationship Matters, overseeing a team of practitioners, ensuring efficient case management and adherence to regulatory standards. In her role, Marney regularly liaises with external agencies and contributes to policy development. Her focus is high-quality, client-centred dispute resolution services.

Marney has degrees in law and arts and graduate diplomas in professional legal training and family dispute resolution practice. Marney is also a NMAS Accredited mediator.

Vivianne has over 20 years of experience in the community services sector, with a background in family violence, housing, mental health, and health promotion. She is responsible for managing the delivery of a range of programs and services in the West & North Region that support vulnerable individuals and families.

Vivianne is committed to community engagement and service excellence, ensuring that services are tailored to meet the unique needs of the people they serve.

Adrian has worked as a social worker and counsellor in the community sector for over 20 years. Adrian holds a clinical registration with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW) has been employed in both the private and public sector in various roles that include youth and community services to specialist clinical roles in counselling, couple and family therapy and staff supervision. Adrian has a masters degree in family therapy and an honours degree in social work from Monash University.
Dulguun is an experienced People, Culture and Wellbeing Coordinator. She has over 5 years of experience with a diverse background in working for organisations such as startups, not for profit and the private sector. Her background in talent acquisition, learning and development, and streamlining HR processes makes her a valuable member to Relationship Matters. Dulgunn is committed to fostering a diverse, inclusive, and supportive culture.

Jennifer Hall is a practising psychologist with extensive experience in health promotion and behavioural change. She coordinates the development and delivery of our relationship and psychoeducation programs, ensuring they are grounded in evidence-based frameworks to improve the quality of the relationships that matter most.

Drawing on her extensive experience designing and delivering initiatives for both health professionals and the community, Jennifer ensures our programs are enjoyable, interactive, and experiential. reflecting the principles of adult learning theory and self-determination.
