Gianna Mazzone has been the Coordinator of the Intercountry Adoption Family Support Service (ICAFSS) since its inception in 2016. With over 25 years’ experience working with families of all configurations, Gianna is committed to supporting parents and carers in creating strong, healthy families. She has extensive experience in the delivery of parenting support and psycho-educational programs and therapeutic services to a variety of communities. Gianna’s diverse experience has seen her provide informed counsel to LGBTIQ, CaLD and Aboriginal communities. As a Gestalt Therapist, she also works clinically with ICAFSS clients using a developmental trauma and attachment-focused lens. She has a particular interest in pre and perinatal psychology and the life-long impact of these early experiences.
Vanessa Corbridge joined the Intercountry Adoption Family Support Service (ICAFSS) in 2019 in the newly created role of Information and Support Worker. Vanessa has 15 years’ experience working in family support and case management services in not-for-profit organisations across the disability, out-of-home care, adoption from foster care and migrant and refugee sectors. She has also held a range of volunteer roles in crisis counselling and supporting the development of young leaders in the community. In addition to her knowledge and skill in supporting individuals and families impacted by challenges relating to trauma, attachment, adoption and cross-cultural migration and settlement, Vanessa has a special interest in the development of identity and supporting a healthy sense of self in identity formation throughout childhood and its continued evolution throughout adulthood.
